Our Story
Back in the ’90s, when the internet was a new, exciting frontier, our founder Scott Winstead quickly realized it offered a new way to learn, share, and connect ideas across the globe. That spark of interest turned into nearly 20 years (and counting!) in the industry creating engaging eLearning experiences, culminating with Scott channeling his passion and expertise into launching MyeLearningWorld in 2016.
Since then, Scott and his team of fellow instructional designers, teachers, professors, and EdTech enthusiasts have turned MyeLearningWorld into a vibrant community where professionals and learners alike can explore innovative tools, engage with impactful content, and navigate the dynamic landscape of online education together.

Scott Winstead
FOUNDER | HEAD OF CONTENT
Scott Winstead, our founder, has championed eLearning technology for more than a decade and a half. His extensive expertise in instructional design has equipped him with the know-how to craft compelling online learning journeys. From career advice for aspiring instructional designers to hands-on reviews of audio and video production tools for creating courses, Scott is passionate about all aspects of eLearning development. Scott is also a contributor to numerous top industry publications, including eLearning Industry and the TalentLMS Blog, as well as a trusted expert source whose analysis has been quoted and referenced in the LA Times, Fox Business, Houston Chronicle, NEA Today, and others.
Debra Kidder
Debra Kidder is a 25-year teaching veteran in every level of K-12 education, as well as the co-author of Distance Learning Workbook – Hands On Approach to Virtual Teaching. She departed from teaching in 2019 to dedicate her time to improving the experiences of online educators by crafting professional development alongside school administrators. Debra is also a certified Early College Experience teacher for the University of Connecticut in Music, and completed post-graduate studies in diversity and inclusion training in the classroom. In addition, she’s a member of the National Association for Music Education and the Connecticut Music Educators Association.
Julia Bashore
Julia Bashore is a writer and teacher from Richmond, Virginia. After receiving her Master of Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, she has taught, written curriculum, and developed courses for Richmond City Public Schools for the past decade. She has also shared her expertise in the field in other publications, including One-Room Education. Julia loves all things reading and writing and enjoys discovering new ways to connect with other educators.
Brittney Hallmark
Brittney Hallmark is a National Board Certified Teacher in the world of public education. She has taught for more than 15 years and has a variety of experiences in the K-12 world. She earned a B.S. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), an M.S. in Collaborative Teaching from Jacksonville State University, and an M.S. in Instructional Design and Development from UAB. Passionate about teaching English as a Second Language, she helps students explore all four domains of language learning.
Honored to be a Red Mountain Writing Project fellow, Brittney has pursued her love of writing by specializing in the field of education. She is an experienced writer and presenter to learners of all ages.
Sara Austin
Sara Austin is an instructional designer and curriculum writer with more than a decade of experience developing educational experiences tailored to learners of all ages. She holds a master’s degree in instructional technology and a doctorate in educational leadership and holds additional certifications in website development and UX research and design. A lifelong learner herself, she enjoys the challenge of translating complex information to every day language, removing barriers and democratizing access to knowledge.
Dr. Syed Mohsin R.
Dr. Mohsin is a seasoned expert in the field of eLearning and instructional design, with a strong track record of achievement. Over the past 11 years, he has been active in the Learning & Development industry and founded his own eLearning company, Learning Impact, in 2020 which has produced an impressive 12,000+ hours of eLearning content. Through his learning platforms, he has facilitated learning for more than 80,000+ individuals and has trained 8,500+ professionals and teachers.
As a dedicated coach and visionary in the digital learning and innovation sphere, Dr. Mohsin specializes in empowering individuals and teams to reach their full potential. His mission as a coach is to guide and inspire individuals, helping them unlock their capabilities and achieve their personal and professional goals. He has had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, witnessing transformative growth, and fostering leadership skills that drive success.
Anneda Nettleton
Anneda Nettleton has worked in public education for over 19 years. Ms. Nettleton earned her B.S. in Middle Grades Education from Eastern Kentucky University. She later received her Master’s degree in Library Media and her Rank 1 Literacy Specialist certification from University of the Cumberlands. With over 10 years of instructional design experience in grades K-12, she’s passionate about incorporating technology in the classroom to maintain student engagement in learning. As a thought leader in education, Anneda also shares her expertise on other top industry publications, including Lumos Learning, Teacher Vision, and EdApp.com.
Vanda Heuring
Vanda Heuring holds a Master’s Degree in English, with a major in Technical Communication, and a Master’s Degree in Education, with Curriculum Design as her main focus. She is passionate about helping students of all ages on their journey of learning, whether it’s by creating user-friendly and engaging curriculum content, mentoring homeschool parents, or removing learning barriers in teaching. Vanda’s mission statement is “to make people and places better.” She strives to accomplish that daily by engaging people around her, researching innovative ways to learn, and sharing her findings with others.
Fatima Mansoor
Fatima Mansoor is a freelance writer covering education technology. She has a Master of Arts (MA) in English Language Teaching and has been a lecturer at University of Dammam and Prince Mohamad University.
