About the job

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised individual to support the administration of Community Based Medical Education (CBME) placements and teaching – predominately for students studying in Years 1 and 2 of the 5-year MB ChB undergraduate medical programme.

The role will include working closely with colleagues within the CBME team, across the wider MB ChB Programme and with our partner colleagues based at four Clinical Education Campuses within NHS Trusts. More specifically, the successful candidate will have an important role in liaising with both medical students and General Practitioners with regard to placement allocations and all aspects of Years 1 and 2 placement administration. This is an exciting time as work is currently being undertaken to roll out a number of new and innovative pilot initiatives, and this is an opportunity to influence and be at the forefront of these new developments.

You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working as an administrator in a busy role, ideally within a higher education or health environment. Key attributes will include excellent attention to detail, well developed organisational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively. We are seeking an individual with excellent communication skills who can work independently and proactively to secure and enhance the student experience. A flexible approach to work and the ability to work proficiently with a range of MS Office applications is also required.

As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
