The Accounts Payable Specialist position will report directly to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for all Accounts Payable activities for one of the SCHC Companies affiliates. This staff member will be called to provide account analysis and reconciliation and provide valuable support for federal, state and other agency reporting. Annual 1099 reporting. Reconcile vendor statements. Issue checks and process ACH transactions. Follow SCHC policies and procedures surrounding the processing of accounts payable and appropriate approval levels.
Associates degree in Finance/Accounting or other related field with minimum 2 years experience
Education can be substituted by substantial experience. Must have very strong hands on accounting experience from account reconciliation, invoice processing, and journal entries if needed. Basic to advanced MS Office Suite experience Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be very organized. Must have a keen sense of juggling priorities and meeting deadlines. Excellent customer service skills as you will be dealing with internal customers (employees) as well as vendors.
