Are you currently studying a social care related course (nursing, health and social care, education, psychology) and looking to pick up work that will give you practical experience in your field alongside your studies? At Hays Social Care we have work available across adult and children’s services that you can fit in flexibly alongside your course. Many of our staff are currently in education and value the hands on experience and flexibility that working through us offers.
Your new role
You will work for Hays Social Care as a bank support worker. We have roles in adult LD, children’s homes, leaving care, elderly and dementia, mental health, homelessness, family support working and recovery work.
Shifts can vary from 6-24 hours including days, waking nights and sleepover shifts.
What you’ll need to succeed
At least 6 months recent experience in care – or relevant study
Hold or be willing to complete the equivalent of the Care Certificate (training given for free)
The ability to drive whilst not essential would be beneficial due to the locations of our services
What you’ll get in return
Flexible working from 16-37+ hours a week
£9.75+ per hour

Provide 2 recent references from care or education settings
Up to date mandatory training or commitment to complete within 2 weeks
