Our happy, popular and “Good” school is looking for a highly motivated and dedicated School Business Manager (SBM) to join our team.

Salary Type: Bucks pay

Salary details: BP3-5

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: 4-5 days per week for 42 weeks per year to include inset days

Closing date: 25/11/2022 17:00

About The Role

The SBM holds a key post of responsibility within the school. Reporting directly to the Headteacher, the SBM is responsible for ensuring all support functions of the school run efficiently and effectively, promoting the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school. Strategically ensuring the most effective use of resources in support of the school’s learning objectives. The SBM is a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and is expected to contribute significantly to the continuous improvement of the School’s services.

You will be responsible for:

  • Financial accounting, processes and procurement
  • Administration functions across the school
  • HR procedures
  • Line management of all admin support staff, site and catering staff and health and safety contractors
  • Health & Safety
  • Site and Premises Management

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Sound experience of financial management and budgetary control in schools or similar environment.
  • A knowledge of PSF and Bromcom would be an advantage however full training will be provided
  • A good understanding and knowledge of HR procedures and practice
  • An understanding of facilities management including Health and Safety
  • An ability to identify, research, develop, cost and implement new initiatives
  • A high degree of motivation to be fully committed to work in a school environment
  • The ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Be fully supportive of the strong Christian ethos of our school
