Maritime Transport is the largest, privately owned, intermodal logistics operator in the UK. The Risk & Compliance Department is a small team predominantly managing health & safety, environmental responsibilities, security, policies and auditing. We have a role for a permanent full time Administrator/Coordinator to support the department in all aspects of their work.

The Role

To provide full administrative support to the Risk & Compliance Department

To manage the accident at work statistics producing detailed reports when required internally and externally

Maintain a log and electronic reference library of all publications and guidance notes produced by the department. Create and assist in the design of new documents / guidance notes

Design relevant R&C documentation utilizing specific design software, this may include presentations, reports, posters and manuals for the R&C Team

Ordering and processing of risk & compliance purchases and maintaining spreadsheets of purchases

Maintain action points and follow ups from departmental meetings

Prepare pre health & safety audit data and records to the R&C team

Maintain a database of contractors used within the company and ensure relevant H&S information is up to date

Assist in the preparation and submission of documents for external accreditations for Health and Safety and Sustainability

Maintain accurate records of carbon footprint data to enable annual reporting

Assist in the management of fire evacuations and weekly alarm tests at the Flx HQ

Work closely with the administration team of the Property Department including joint working on projects and assisting during holiday cover

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience of working in an administrative role in an office environment, with an eye for detail

Advanced user of Word, Excel and Powerpoint is essential. Experience of Adobe creative cloud suite is preferable

Some experience of general health & safety administration is preferable but not essential

Team player, yet able to work alone

Be willing to travel to other depots for meetings on an adhoc basis

Willing to undertake further training in key subject areas of the role e.g. health & safety
