The Senior Surveyor will work in the Assets’ Maintenance Team, supporting the Repairs and Void Managers in the delivery of a professional, high quality and cost-effective repairs and maintenance service across the Torus portfolio.

This Is An Important Role In Which You Will

  • Support with ensuring that R&M and void contractor teams deliver on the client requirements, commercial and contractual issues and applying commercial best practise in the day-to-day management and administration of the contracts as well as ensuring that surveys on the client side are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that processes and behaviours are embedded within the maintenance team to capture accurate and timely performance and financial data and to facilitate excellent customer service.
  • Deputise for the Repairs or Void Managers during periods of leave and will work collaboratively and in partnership with other members of the asset management team to deliver a seamless service to customers and offer VFM.
  • Assist with leading, motivating and development of the maintenance and void client team to enable them to support the delivery of a high-quality repairs and maintenance and void services to Torus tenants and other internal and external customers within a culture of openness, participation and performance to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will

  • Possess a minimum of 2-years’ experience of in the on-site management of contractors and ability to evidence the co-ordinating and demonstrating the importance of value for money in everyday operations
  • Hold a Level 4 qualification in a construction/property related discipline or equivalent
  • Be able to demonstrate a significant knowledge and understanding of current statutory requirements including but not restricted to contract management; CDM Regulations, Health and Safety Legislation, Building Regulations and Landlord & Tenant Regulations gained through extensive and relevant experience
  • Have experience of working with asset management and/or housing management systems.
  • Possess a high level of ICT competence
