About the job

Main duties of the job

The post holder will lead and develop the medicines supply services, this will involve providing the day-to-day operational management of the dispensary and the medicines management services across allocated sites ensuring they are undertaken in a safe, secure, efficient and patient-centered manner.

Leading and motivating a team of staff, ensuring that team members actively and effectively contribute to the aims of the service and are supported in their ongoing development.

As a member of the senior pharmacy team, lead on agreed areas of governance and service development and work with clinical and pharmacy teams to ensure, develop and implement safe and efficient medicines supply processes

Along with other lead technicians, deputise for the chief pharmacy technician in their absence or as a developmental opportunity
