Your New Company
Hays Technology are currently recruiting for an experienced and confident Data and BI Manager. You will be joining a growing public sector organisation around the Bradford area. You will be managing a team of 5 people and will have a broad background across Data and BI. This role will be remote with a monthly trip to the office for team collaboration days.
Your new role
As the Data and BI Manager, you will be taking on a leadership role across the organisation and will take ownership for improving the effectiveness of the data and information by managing the collation, storage, and use of data. This includes ensuring data quality, providing accurate information reports and visualisations for business users, improving organisational data literacy, and leading the team that develop analytics to inform strategic and operational decision making.
Within this role, you will lead on data and information across the organisation by being a passionate advocate for the power of data and will be working in partnership with both technical and non-technical key stakeholders around the organisation to deliver on their data and information needs. You will be supporting and maintain a data management infrastructure that enables the effective use of data across the organisation by implementing processes, policies, and systems to maintain accurate data.
You will also be introducing innovative skills and technology to move the organisation from reporting on data to the effective use of predictive analytics that drive positive business outcomes. You will be doing this by managing an effective and efficient data and information team, through appraisals, communication and collaborating with your team.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- PRINCE2/Agile/ITIL accreditation ideal
- Data analytics or BI qualifications adventurous
- Experience of leading a team of data and information professionals
- Considerable experience of understanding complex problems relating to data and information
- Experience working with BI products such as PowerBI and Qlik.
- Experience of utilising project management skills to deliver projects on-time
- Experience of relevant data protection legislation and information security standards
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills are essential
- A broad BI and data background is desired
