Our client is a well-known employer who are currently looking for a Corporate Governance Administrator to join their Company Secretariat & Corporate Governance Team, located in Swindon. Our client are working in a hybrid manner, and are looking for someone to be present in Swindon 2-3 days per week – so someone who is located in the Swindon area, or commutable to, would be ideal.

Your new role

As part of the Company Secretariat & Corporate Governance Team, you will be providing company secretarial administrative and corporate governance support to the team and the wider business. You will support the operations of the team by assisting the Company Secretaries in respect of their portfolio of boards, board committees and management committees. This will include managing and tracking actions from Board and Committee meetings, booking meeting rooms and catering, managing IT requests (including onboarding and INEDs), booking travel and accommodation, delivery of Corporate Governance projects and managing invoices and expenses. You will support administration of Company Secretarial systems and processes, identify ways to improve efficiency and delivery of the department through implementing key infrastructure to support the team and wider business and provide administrative support to the UK Head of Corporate Governance and Company Secretariat.

What you’ll need to succeed

Ideally you will have an awareness of Board and Committee administration and support, or you might have professional office experience and be looking to get into corporate governance work. This would be a great opportunity for someone looking to take their first step into a corporate governance/co sec role. You will be proactive and able to use initiative to support operations of the Team, and will be able to manage competing objectives and reprioritise as appropriate, and will have strong stakeholder management skills.

You will be a real team player and will be able to manage relationships at all levels of the business to influence the achievement of good governance outcomes. You should be proactive and passionate about your work and not be afraid to voice your opinions and help bring about change.
